Mill Pond's Todd Snyder and Granger's Daivyn Davis Earn Gold Glove Honors

Throughout the week, we will be announcing the winners of the 2024 ORWBL regular season awards which were voted on by all sixteen Managers. Players/Managers received 3 points for a 1st place vote, 2 points for a 2nd place vote, and 1 point for a 3rd place vote. We will announce the winners of one award each day on the American and National League side leading up into Game 1 of the 2024 ORWBL World Series on Sunday.

We begin Awards Week by announcing the winners of the 2024 American and National League Gold Glove Awards. Starting off on the American League side, it was Mill Pond's Leftfielder Todd Snyder who took home the most votes to win the award for the 1st time in his young career. Snyder has emerged as an elite fielder over the past few years as he has played a massive role in Mill Pond's rise. He finished 8 votes ahead of Elkhart's Brandon Terry who took home the award for the first time last season.

Snyder was voted in as an American League All Star for the first time and he now has a Gold Glove to his name. Snyder's Defense played a massive role in helping Mill Pond earn the #2 seed in the American League, finishing the regular season with a 21-9 record. He and the rest of his Pink Panda teammates will look to complete a historic run in the World Series as they will take on the New Carlisle Newts in the Best of 7 Series.

Moving on to the National League side, it was Daivyn Davis of the Granger Panthers who received the most votes as this is the 2nd time that he has won the award. Davis joins Levi Miller (2) Seth Campbell (2) and Kody Webb (4) as players to win Multiple Gold Glove Awards. Davis finished one vote ahead of New Carlisle's Kody Webb and two votes ahead of Lynn Street's Levi Miller.

Davis was named to the National League All Star team once again as the young Outfielder/Pitcher has truly transformed into one of the top overall players in the sport over the past few seasons. He played a huge role in helping Granger win the National League regular season title once again after failing to do so for the first time in franchise history in 2023.
