Best Case, Worst Case: Elkhart B.F.A.M
Turn on those team twitter notifications - ORWBL is back. We’re counting down the days until the 2019 season kicks off on May 5th by looking at the floor and ceiling of all 16 teams in the league. Today we preview our fourth expansion team: the eccentric Elkhart Brothers From Another Bother (BFAM). We look forward to hearing all about wrong these previews are, and how your team is being “slept on” this season.

Key Player: Walter Griffin III OF/P
Walter is another case of an excited skipper bringing his tournament squad into ORWBL. Although he's since stepped down as manager, Walt will undoubtedly be a leader for this excited young team. BFAM's eagerness and confidence on social media has allowed them a platform to boast their abilities. A solid 2018 Hometown Days with the Landhsharks has Walt and manager Brandon Terry very confident heading into league play. Whether BFAM reaches their lofty expectations will largely hinge on Walt's shoulders.
Best-Case Scenario:
After ending last tournament season with a top 3 finish at the F&A Fall Classic, Elkhart comes out of the gates firing on all cylinders. They follow the recent trend of first year success set by the Panthers in 2017 and the Billy Goats in 2018. With Walter Griffin III leading the way, B-FAM is able to start hot out of the gate without looking back. If this young team can get some swagger and confidence rolling from the start, the rookies could contend in their division and fight for a coveted bye. If they're half as good as their twitter indicates ORWBL could be in for a real shell-shock.
Worst-Case Scenario:
This team gets extremely tired from all of their off-season training and ends up fighting just to try string together a few wins. With limited wiffleball experience, BFAM runs into a tough adjustment in their inaugural season. The athletes on this team end up not translating as well to wiffleball as they thought and the first year team runs out of gas by playoff time, heading back to Elkhart after the first round.
