Panthers sweep Emery's Army to advance to NLCS
GRANGER- The Granger Panthers were the first team to punch their ticket to the League Championship Series' after sweeping Emery's Army in a couple well played games. Rolling Prairie was giving Granger all they could handle in Game 1 as they only trailed by 1 heading into the bottom of the 5th inning.
That was where the Panthers exploded for 5 runs to blow the game open and they did not look back from there. Rolling Prairie gave it everything they could while not having Manager Jake Lawrence. All in all, EA did not have enough firepower to shock the Panthers.
Granger's most recent acquisition Jeremy Ross led the way offensively for the Panthers as he belted out 3 Home Runs and 6 RBI's in Game 1. Griffin Smith continued to win games on the mound despite having to wear a shoulder brace.
This young granger team is now 27-5 on the season and heads into the National League Championship series with the hopes of taking down the defending champions New Carlisle Newts. There is no doubt that this series is going to be filled with hype as these are 2 of the most talented teams in the country.
This young team surely will not back away from anybody as they have all of the confidence in the world as we head into the home stretch.
