Panthers keep rolling, sweep Mechanics in NL showdown
GRANGER- The top 2 teams in the National League squared off at Panther Park on Sunday and it was the Granger Panthers who came away with a series sweep. The Panthers continued to protect their home turf as they moved to 12-0 on the season at home.
After getting swept, the Mechanics now have some company atop the NL East as the New Carlisle Newts have tied them after sweeping Emery's Army on Sunday. Both Granger and Olive Township have at least a share of the division lead but both teams have a different scenario in their division.
It looks like the Mechanics and Newts will be battling it out during the 2nd half of the season for the NL East crown. Meanwhile, Granger on the other hand is closing in on clinching their division as Galena Marsh and Lynn Street have had tough seasons so far.
The Mechanics will look to get back on track as they next have a FLEX scheduled series at Jet City. Granger will next look to take down Maple City in what could potentially be a 2017 World Series preview,
