Jet City wins AL West after taking down Hudson Lake to end the season

NEW CARLISLE- The American League West has been an interesting race all season long between Jet City and Hudson Lake. Friday night, the division was decided on the final game of the season between the 2 teams.

The first 2 games of the series saw a split between the 2 teams, setting up a dramatic finish to the season. With Jet City and Hudson Lake looking to clinch the Bye, it was Jet City in their first season as a franchise who came out on top.

With their 10-4 win in the season finale, Jet City clinched their first AL West Division Championship in their first season in the league. Manager Nate Arndt did a wonderful job in his first season in charge of Jet City as the Junkballers nearly won the top seed in the American League.

They will take the #2 seed heading into the postseason and will host the 3/6 Wild Card game between Hudson Lake and Lynn Street. The winner of that game will then play Jet City in the ALDS Best of 3 series at Old Rock Park. While it would be wrong to count out Lynn Street, it is hard to not notice that Jet City and Hudson Lake could meet up in a rematch of the season finale.

Jet City heads into the postseason fresh off of acquiring George Stainko from Maple City in exchange for 2 cases of Gatorade and a case of beer. Stainko figures to help the team who is in much need of some depth.
