Feldmeier, Pravecek win AL, NL Last Man In Vote

NEW CARLISLE- For the first time in ORWBL history, fans had the chance to make their vote heard for the Last Man In vote which was on twitter for a 2 day period. Fans had the chance to vote for the Last Man In on both respective sides. Both fans and teams around the league seemed to enjoy it as many different teams came up with their own way of trying to get their man into the All Star Game.

In the American League, it was Jet City's Zach Feldmeier who captured 38 percent of the vote to reach the All Star Game as he was able to outlast Bourissa Hills Zach Rehlander (32 percent) and Maple City's Eric Johnson (27 percent). Nick Borkowski of the Godfathers also received 3 percent of votes.

Feldmeier will join 3 of his Jet City teammates (Arndt, Koch, Babcock) in the All Star Game at Migley Field on Thursday, July 7th. Over on the American League side, it was Galena Marsh's Steve Pravecek who received 40 percent of the vote, a whole 11 percentage points higher than runner up Conner MacMillan of South Bend.

MacMillan, along with the Sour Chicken Muffs and plenty of fans led a marketing pitch that nearly got MacMillan into the game. Overall it was fun to see the team and fans come together to try and get their guy into the game. Pravecek and the Dabbers had the last laugh though as many fans came to support Pravecek near the end as he pulled off a big comeback to get it done.

Overall, Aidan Cotter of the Mechanics might have been the biggest All Star snub as his .533 Average along with 32 Home Runs will not participate in the All Star Game. He received 24 percent of the National League vote with Cabo's John Premetz bringing in the rear with 7 percent.

Both All Star teams are now full as we will wait a couple of weeks for the All Star Game which will be played on July 7th. It was originally scheduled to be played in Mid-June until League Offices decided that it would be best to be played in early July.
